Photos from the weekend of April 11, 2015, in Burnside, Kentucky, when we celebrated the conservation easement on the old Harriette and Harold Arnow farm in nearby Keno. Ann Ropp took most of the pictures, Sandy Ballard took a few, and I took the rest. Thanks to all who came or wished us well that the 136 acres is now protected in perpetuity by the Healthy Forests Program operated by the US Department of Agriculture. The spring weather was wonderful, the party was terrific, from the stories we shared, to the homemade cookies and brownes and deviled eggs to the planting of two apple trees in the cemetery and the happiness of knowing there will never be any mining, drilling, overhead wires, underground pipes or development on this lovely Pulaski County land by the Cumberland River.
